Counselling

You are not broken; you do not need fixing. Rather, the better we understand our past, our behaviours and thoughts, the better we can grow in every aspect of our lives, from how we see ourselves, to our relationships with those around us.

I provide bespoke therapy for individuals on a weekly basis.

Individual Therapy

Therapy is about understanding YOU. We are unique, wonderful, messy human beings. Therapy can sometimes feel uncomfortable and challenging but it offers you a safe place to explore the past and your thinking and behaviours.

We will mostly utilise talking therapy but you may also find other tools that resonate with you or your circumstances which can be helpful. We each learn and grow in a variety of different ways. The sessions are there for you to really explore who you are. We go to therapy for many different reasons and you do not have to be at rock bottom to go. Everyone can benefit from therapy.

Assessment

I offer an initial phone or online assessment for 30 minutes for £30. This gives us a chance to talk with each other and to see what you would like to focus on, as well as if you would like to work with me. We also discuss the boundaries of therapy and what you can expect from working with me.

If you have any questions, please do contact me.

Cost

Sessions cost £60 for a weekly 50 minute session.

Sessions and Timing

Sessions are currently online, at the same time and day every week. I offer counselling from Monday to Friday, during the daytime and evening. However, if you work shift patterns I am happy to discuss a more flexible schedule.

Mim is so positive and supportive, it really does make a difference having someone see you and want to help you work through your trauma. I can be angry, frustrated and just plain old mad at everything and everyone and that’s ok. What I appreciate is that I can feel these emotions freely.

I have learnt to not be scared of big emotions but that I can experience them, name them, feel them and then choose to find ways forward that aren’t hurting myself anymore.

Jo

I kept hearing that counselling is ‘work’ and it’s true. It’s painful and takes time and effort but it is worth it.

My relationship with my family has really improved. It has taken time, and hasn’t been a quick fix, but I am grateful to have Mim as my therapist. We have taken therapy at my pace, I don’t feel rushed and when things feel like too much its ok to let yourself take a step back and take your time.

I have learnt the value in my voice and my worth and that has meant the world to me.
